Principal Platform Engineer – Kubernetes, Storage Platforms, VMWare
My client, a leading sporting institution, and household name are seeking and experienced, senior level Platform Engineer to Lead a team of engineers, advice best-practice technical experience, and instil the highest standards to deliver DevOps methodologies.
The Role:
- Implementing infrastructure platforms across all technology stacks to provide secure,
reliable, high performing and scalable services - Providing monitoring and observability to ensure optimal performance
- Supporting technology platforms for break/fix incidents
- Advocating the use of modern tools and practices to provide automated provisioning
and configuration management - CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code
Candidates Must Have the Following Skills / Experience:
- Highly detailed knowledge and experience of VMware, Kubernetes, storage
platforms, and associated underlying infrastructure hardware and provision. - Exceptional Linix skills
- Microsoft skills including AD
- Experience of Cloud (Azure) and hybrid-based alternatives to on-premises infrastructure
- Experience of providing infrastructure for large Enterprise applications such as PLM or
ERP platforms. - Some people management experience
