On the 9th of November, we held our very first tech meetup event- AI Brainwave. Hosted by Torchbox, it was a fantastic opportunity for AI industry professionals to connect and exchange ideas.
We were privileged to have Sue Turner, OBE as one of our two keynote speakers. Sue is renowned for her exceptional insights into AI governance and ethics. Her career has been dedicated to supporting and promoting the best of British entrepreneurialism and shifting power to help disadvantaged people improve their lives. In 2021, she was awarded the OBE for Services to Social Justice and an MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at the University of Hull. Her talk was a thought-provoking exploration of the responsible and ethical dimensions of artificial intelligence.
Andy Gordon, our second speaker, brought a riveting perspective to the discourse with his insights on Generative AI. He is part of the innovation team at Torchbox, helping their clients identify, explore and creatively respond to meaningful opportunities for Innovation with AI. His exploration of the blurred lines between human and machine challenged preconceptions and sparked contemplation on the future of AI-human collaboration. As we reflect on the success of our November event, the enthusiasm lingers, and we are thrilled to announce that this is just the beginning. Anticipate more engaging AI meetup events in the future, where we will continue to explore, learn, and push the boundaries of artificial intelligence.
