Build your network
Tap into the network you already have and spread the word to your friends and family that you are on the job market. Check out what networking events are happening in your industry and in your area and connect with the attendees on LinkedIn after.
Create a plan and stay organised
Set goals. What kind of job do you want? What kind of company do you want to work for? What is most important to you- company size, training, location, work-life balance etc? Answering these questions and consider this as you apply for jobs.
Apply
Aim to apply for at least 2-3 jobs per day. Don’t just apply for any and every job that you see, takes some time to cater your CV to each job position.
Update your LinkedIn profile
Most recruiters and employers are using LinkedIn these days. Make sure your profile is up to date and connect with recruiters, hiring managers and leaders in your industry. Don’t just limit your efforts to just job boards. Jobs posted on these job boards get very high application numbers and your CV may get lost in the pile.
