An Associate Director with 10+ years of experience in Recruitment – Jan has led a multitude of large scale recruitment campaigns as well as continuing to develop and manage supplier status for a number of major client accounts. Broad experience recruiting all core Infrastructure but with a specialist focus on Cloud Formation and IT Security.
How long have you been working at BSQIT/ what do you enjoy most about working there?
Too Long! Great environment, great colleagues, great clients, everything is great apart from the teams choice of radio station!
From your experience what kind of personal traits do you think is most important to employers?
Honesty and Integrity, transparency between the consultant and the client is crucial.
What was your dream job growing up?
To be a pilot like my Dad, ironically I now have a fear of flying so that one didn’t happen
What’s the best advice you have ever been given?
ATD! Attention to detail, was told by my first ever manager to always focus on the detail as that’s what makes the difference
What was your greatest achievement and how has that shaped you?
Probably working with Nicholas de Swart for as long as I have, Nah, seeing the company continue to grow, embrace change and become the success it currently is today
If you could abolish one piece of modern technology what would it be and why?
Selfie sticks, they are cringe worthy!
What would you do with a million pounds?
Buy a Chateau in France, 10 more cats and live happily ever after.

My mobile phone, laptop and a notepad, couldn’t let our clients down.
If you could go back in time, what year would you travel to and why?
Any time pre-technology, would like to live a few months disconnected from the outside world.
